StoneHill Tech. adopts a local family for the holidays 
San Clemente, California
San Clemente, California- November 14, 2009--Today StoneHill Technical Solutions has partnered with Family Assistance Ministries to assist families in need this holiday season. StoneHill Tech has adopted a local family through the organization and is encouraging other community members to get involved.
The national unemployment rate has risen to 10.2%; which is the highest since 1983. According to the National Bureau of Labor Statistics California has the fourth highest unemployment rate in the Nation, rising from 8.4% in November, 2008 to 12% in September, 2009. In Orange County it has had an alarming increase; from 6.1% to 9.4% in one year's time. The current economic climate has not only had a severe impact on families, but also on organizations such as Family Assistance Ministries creating a large demand for emergency food service.
"This has been a devastating year for families throughout South Orange County; we have twice as many families to serve this year and are seeing more and more each month. Unfortunately, we have to turn away a lot of those families due to lack of resources." states Gretchen Hesse, Family Assistance Ministries Executive Director.
StoneHill Tech is excited to work with family ministries to give the gift of a meal to a family who could not have otherwise celebrated Thanksgiving.
